Returns on Defective Items
Your satisfaction is our priority. We stand behind the quality of every wig and product we sell. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please review our return policy below.
1. Standard Return Policy
We accept returns within 30 days of the delivery date for most items, provided they meet all of the following conditions:
- The item is unworn and has never been placed on a head or worn in any way
- The item is unaltered — no cuts, color treatments, styling products applied, or any other modifications
- All original tags, packaging, and accessories are included and intact
- The item is in its original, resalable condition
- You have proof of purchase (order number or receipt)
Items that do not meet these criteria will not be eligible for return and will be shipped back to you at your expense.
2. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return or refund:
- Custom and built-to-order wigs — once production has begun, custom orders cannot be cancelled or refunded. This includes all orders placed through our Build Your Wig wizard with custom specifications.
- Items that have been worn, styled, or treated with any product
- Items with removed or missing tags
- Gift cards and digital products
- Items marked as final sale at the time of purchase
- Items damaged through misuse or improper care after delivery
If you are unsure whether your item qualifies, please contact us before initiating a return.
3. Defective or Damaged Items
If your item arrives defective or damaged in transit, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:
- Your order number
- Clear photos of the defect or damage
- A brief description of the issue
For verified defects or carrier damage, we will cover the cost of return shipping and offer your choice of a full refund, replacement, or store credit. Please do not discard any packaging until the issue is resolved.
4. How to Initiate a Return
Follow these steps to return an item:
Contact Us
Email us at info@rivkywigs.com or call (732) 555-WIGS with your order number and reason for return. We will review your request and provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number within 1–2 business days.
Pack Your Item
Securely pack the item in its original packaging (or equivalent protective packaging) with all tags attached. Write your RMA number clearly on the outside of the package.
Ship Your Return
Ship the item to the address provided in your RMA confirmation. We recommend using a trackable shipping method and purchasing insurance for items over $100. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is defective or was shipped in error.
Receive Your Refund
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you by email. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days and issued to the original payment method. Please note that your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the credit to your account.
5. Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different item, please initiate a return for your original item (if eligible) and place a new order for the item you would like.

6. Store Credit
At our discretion, we may offer store credit in lieu of a cash refund for certain returns, such as items returned after the 30-day window but within 60 days in exceptional circumstances. Store credit does not expire and can be used toward any future purchase.
